Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH)
Your BAH will be used in one of two ways. You can either rent on base or you can live off base. If you live off base, you can either rent or buy. Click Here for current BAH rates.
On Base Housing ( Rent On-Base )
You can contact the housing office at 910-394-4867. Please keep in mind that there is a process involved in renting on Base housing to include wait times.

Pope Air Force Base is home to the 43rd Airlift Wing which provides for air support and airlift for American armed forces for humanitarian mission worldwide. In 2011, Pope Air Force Base combined with Fort Bragg to become Pope Field. The combined base is one of the oldest military installations in the Air Force. Picerne Military Housing controls all housing at Pope Air Force Base and offers over 2,500 homes. Applications for on-post housing can be submitted up to 90 days prior to arrival. For more information, contact the housing office at #910-764-4500. Wait lists are determined by the number of bedrooms desired and the rank of the soldier. Temporary lodging is provided by the Carolina Inn which offers military personnel up to 30 day extended stays until more permanent housing can be found. No pets are allowed at the facilities. Military personnel are encouraged to contact their sponsors for more information on neighborhood kennels. The housing office can help with available off-post housing opportunities if personnel are looking for homes to rent or purchase.
School enrollment is determined at Pope Air Field by residential status, so it is crucial to contact on-base housing within 90 days of arrival. Otherwise, children will be not be eligible to be enrolled in local schools. Call the Airman and Family Readiness Center at Pope Air Field for questions. Fort Bragg operates one elementary school at Pope along with one middle school and one high school. Many private schools, colleges and universities are available in nearby Fayetteville. Colleges offer two-year programs as well as undergraduate and graduate programs. Contact the Pope Education Office at #910-394-4692.
